CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Aimee and Rawles teach a flowing style of yoga, from restorative to vigorous, emphasizing connection to the breath and the alignment of body, mind, and spirit.

GENTLE YOGA: ALL LEVELS 

This 60 minute class is a deeply nourishing practice suitable for all levels. This class is designed to teach the fundamentals of hatha yoga. Practicing hatha yoga will increase your flexibility and strength, reduce stress in the mind and body, increase your ability to relax, and promote a general sense of well-being. This class is suitable for beginners and is also a great way for more experienced students to enjoy a relaxing practice and revisit the basics.

HATHA FLOW: INTERMEDIATE 

Our 90 minute hatha flow classes are heart-centered, playful and dynamic.  This class is designed to increase strength, flexibility, and endurance; energize and inspire your personal practice; relax your body; and calm your mind. Students should be familiar with basic standing poses and sun salutations. In addition to standing, seated, prone and supine poses, students will learn how to safely practice backbends and inversions. 

MARFA SPECIAL: You can now attend consecutive Gentle Yoga and Hatha Flow classes for the price of one class.  Each week's sequence for the two classes is designed to warm you up and remind you of the principles of alignment in the Gentle Yoga class and then take you deeper and on to intermediate level poses in the Hatha Flow class.

 Aimee brings energy, knowledge and a deep commitment to yoga as lifestyle to her classes. I have benefited from an increase in strength and stamina along with the depth of my understanding of yoga as exercise and philosophy. This has encouraged me to develop my own commitment to yoga as a life practice. We have been blessed to have Aimee choose to teach and live in our community.

Restorative sequences are designed for a practice of 1 hour and Hatha Flow sequences for 1.5 - 2 hours.
