CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Aimee and Rawles teach a flowing style of yoga, from restorative to vigorous, with an emphasis on connecting movement to breath and alignment of body, mind, and spirit.
YOGA BASICS: BEGINNERS This 60 minute class is designed to teach the fundamentals of hatha yoga, to increase flexibility and strength, reduce stress in the mind and body and promote relaxation and a general sense of well-being. Suitable for beginners, this class also provides an opportunity for experienced students to revisit basic alignment principles.
YOGA FLOW: MIXED LEVELS Our 90 minute hatha flow classes are heart-centered, playful, and dynamic and include asanas, pranayama, and meditation. This class is designed to increase strength, flexibility, and endurance; energize and inspire your personal practice; relax your body; and calm your mind. Students should be familiar with basic standing poses (if you are new to yoga, please attend the Yoga Basics class first or contact us before attending this class). In addition to standing, seated, prone and supine poses, students will learn how to safely practice backbends and inversions.

Intermediate level students can attend consecutive Yoga Basics and Yoga Flow classes at Big Bend Yoga for the price of one class. Each week, the Yoga Basics class is designed for beginners, but also as a warm up for more experienced students who want to attend the Yoga Flow class. In the Yoga Basics class, we will work on basic principles of alignment and then build on those in the Yoga Flow class by guiding you into intermediate level poses and a more vigorous practice.
